Site Changes

It's been a while since we have updated the website. So, SophSec decided
that it's time once again for the annual website redesign. Our first goal
was to better organize the content on the site, and then work on changing
it's apperance. And man this gray theme is getting me down, definitely
not sketchy enough.

The first major change to the site is user blogs for SophSec members. Not
only can you read the main SophSec blog, but can focus on what individual
members are ranting about:

SophSec

cd

drraid

pierce

postmodern

sysfail

Additionally we've added Atom RSS Feeds to the blogs. If you were subscribed
to the old RSS feed, you will need to re-subscribe:

SophSec's feed

cd's feed

drraid's feed

pierce's feed

postmodern's feed

sysfail's feed

We're Going to ToorCamp

That's right you read correctly, we are going to
ToorCamp, and I will be giving a
talk there on
Ronin.

Now some of you maybe wondering, how could a group who rarely updates their
Blog, be giving a talk at a Hacker Camp in a Missile Silo? Well one's
productivity is not proportional to how much you Blog. In fact, those of
you with Twitter accounts are creating negative productivity.

The other contributing factors for us going to ToorCamp are:

Ronin has been developed on for around three years now.

We already had slides prepared.

It's in a fucking Missile Silo.

To the others who will be attending ToorCamp, we at SophSec highly
recommend you also catch Chris Abad's
talk on Analog Electronics and
Functional Programming.

Shards of Code

Been a while since we last updated sophsec.com. You see we've been busy
chasing the great hackerican dream. You know the one, quad-core computers,
a beautiful window manager theme and contributing to your neighborhoods
artistic aeshetic via graffiti.

Well we're back like a rash with some new content which we will be adding to over the next few months. I give you the first on our list,
Shards of Code. Shards is SophSec's
version of DZone snippets, except shards
sounds edgier. We will try to document the code we post, illustrating
common usage, limitations and any dependencies.

Check it out.

Oh, what is that orange-square thing up in your address-bar,
I belive it is a per-blog RSS Feeds. That's right, now you can keep
up-to-date on all the SophSec goings-ons, via your RSS enabled iPhone,
Refrigerator or Smart-Shoe (tm).

We also added linkable permalinks to sections, sub-sections, downloads and
news items (required for direct RSS links).

Building this site has been tons of fun.

sophsec.com, for your enjoyment.

Be sure to look around, you might find some interesting information on the
Research page. You can also learn about many of our side
projects on the Projects page. Finally, there is a healthy
serving of random links that we recommend you checkout over on the
